Voltage sag when the XSBox GO+ is at maximum client connections
The XSBox GO+ draws from two power-hungry subsystems simultaneously — the cellular modem and the Wi-Fi radio. At maximum client connections, both run near peak current draw at the same time. An aged or partially degraded cell cannot sustain the voltage rail under this combined load, and the device either reboots or drops clients. A fresh 3400mAh cell at 3.7V nominal restores the headroom needed to handle peak load without the voltage rail collapsing.
XSBox GO+ won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the GO+ sat unused long enough, the cell voltage may have dropped below the minimum boot threshold — typically around 3.0V for this class of device. The charge controller will not start a charge cycle if the cell is too far below that floor. Connect the hotspot to a charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; if the indicator light never appears, the cell has dropped below recovery voltage and needs replacing.
