ChromeOS reporting battery Wh rating as lower than the cell's actual spec
The Wh figure shown in ChromeOS diagnostics pulls from EEPROM data written during the original factory calibration — it does not measure the installed cell directly. A replacement cell with the same chemistry but a fresh EEPROM state can show a different Wh value until the fuel gauge IC completes its calibration cycles. This is not a capacity fault. Run two full discharge-and-charge cycles and the reported Wh figure will converge toward the cell's rated 53.99Wh.
