Acer M300 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BA-6105510)
This 3.7V, 1530mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM cell in the Acer M300 PDA. It fits the M300 pocket PC form factor and uses the same connector and voltage rail as the original. Sourced to match OEM part numbers BA-6105510, 761U300371W, and SYWDA712200105.
- M300 platform fit: The M300 uses a single flat Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. The BMS in the device expects this voltage rail — swapping to a mismatched cell trips the low-voltage cutoff and prevents boot. This cell matches that rail exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on M300-class PDA hardware. The BMS handshake completed without fault flags, and the charge controller accepted the cell without forcing a protection cutoff.
- RAM data protection before swap: Sync all open files and application state to a host PC before removing the battery. The M300 stores active data in SRAM powered directly by the main cell — pulling the battery without syncing first clears anything not written to flash storage.
Why the Acer M300 won't boot after a new battery is installed
A freshly shipped Li-Polymer cell typically arrives at storage voltage — around 3.0V to 3.3V. The M300 boot sequence requires a minimum voltage threshold before the processor initialises. If the cell is below that threshold, the device shows nothing on screen or loops at the boot logo. Charge the battery for at least two hours before attempting a first boot.
M300 battery draining faster than expected during active scanning or wireless sync
Standby current draw on the M300 is low, but the wireless radio and backlit display pull significantly more current when active. Short, frequent wireless sync sessions prevent the radio from completing its full transmit cycle efficiently, which compounds draw. This is a use-pattern issue, not a cell defect. Batch your sync sessions and reduce backlight brightness to keep voltage above 3.5V during active use.
