Acer Spin 3 SP314-52 / TravelMate X3410 — 11.55V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AC17A8M)
This is an 11.55V, 5300mAh (61.22Wh) Li-ion battery for the Acer Spin 3 SP314-52 series and TravelMate X3410-M series convertible laptops. It replaces OEM part AC17A8M and the alternate reference 3ICP7/61/80. The cell fits the 2-in-1 chassis and connects through the original BMS-controlled interface.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
Acer's BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers on the battery controller, not from live cell voltage. When a new cell is installed, those registers still carry stale data from the old pack. The BIOS flags this as degraded health before the fuel gauge IC has run a single calibration pass. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge cycle writes fresh data to those registers. After that cycle, the health indicator clears on the SP314-52 without any firmware update.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The OS reads a percentage from a lookup table built on the old cell's degraded profile, so the number on screen no longer maps to real remaining capacity. When the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — roughly 9.0V under load on this three-cell pack — the system shuts down even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles to let the fuel gauge IC re-map the voltage curve against the new cell.
