This is a 14.8V, 4400mAh (65.12Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Acer TravelMate 8372 notebook. It fits the TravelMate 8372, 8372-7127, 8372G, 8372T, and over 24 additional variants using the same OEM part number AS10I5E. The cell slots into the original battery bay and connects via the stock locking mechanism without modification.

The AS10I5E part number covers the full range because Acer kept the voltage rail and physical form factor consistent across the G, T, and numbered sub-models.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The TravelMate 8372 BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original factory cell. When a replacement cell arrives, the EEPROM profile does not match what the BIOS expects, so it flags the battery as degraded or unknown before a single charge cycle runs. This is not a fault in the new cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted full charge — the BIOS learn cycle rewrites its reference data against the new cell's actual capacity curve and the warning clears.
Laptop shuts down abruptly while the OS still shows 20–25% remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. The IC is still using the old cell's profile, so it misjudges remaining capacity and the voltage drops below the protection threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Two to three full discharge-and-charge cycles allow the fuel gauge IC to rebuild an accurate map against the new chemistry. After calibration, the displayed percentage at shutdown should track to within a few points of actual cell depletion, typically below 5V per cell pair under load.
