AEG 413184 / SE3.6 / SL3.6 — 3.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4935413165)
This is a 3.6V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the AEG 413184, SE3.6, and SL3.6 cordless tool range. It replaces OEM part 4935413165 directly. The battery slots into the tool's base connector and communicates with the onboard BMS before the motor draws current.
- 413184, SE3.6, and SL3.6 compatibility: These models share the same 3.6V single-cell Li-ion rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one battery pack covers all three. Swapping between them requires no adapter or firmware change.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge-discharge cycles on an AEG 413184. The BMS held the low-voltage cutoff at 2.5V per cell and tripped overcurrent protection cleanly on simulated motor-start inrush without latching faults.
- Motor inrush conditioning on first use: On first install, run the tool at half load for two cycles before applying full torque. This lets the BMS log the motor's inrush current profile and set its overcurrent threshold accurately — reducing nuisance trips during later heavy-load use.
BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush at the 413184's trigger pull
At 3.6V, the single-cell architecture means there's no series stack to buffer inrush current — the full spike hits the BMS directly the moment the trigger is pulled. If the BMS hasn't profiled the motor load, it can interpret a normal start spike as a fault and cut the output rail. This is more common after storage or on first use with a fresh pack. Two half-load conditioning cycles let the BMS calibrate its overcurrent window to the actual motor draw.
Charger not recognising the pack after extended storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and most chargers for 3.6V packs refuse to initiate a charge cycle if cell voltage drops below approximately 2.8V. The charger reads this as a dead or shorted cell and won't engage. To recover the pack, use a charger with a recovery or trickle-charge mode — or apply a short manual trickle at 100–150mA until the cell reaches 3.0V. Once above 3.0V, a standard charger will accept it and resume a normal charge cycle.
