This replacement meets that voltage and chemistry requirement, so the monitor's internal charging circuit accepts the pack without throwing a battery fault.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a monitored bench setup. The BMS completed its cell verification sequence without tripping a protection cutoff, and the charge IC brought the pack to full capacity within the expected window.
- Post-swap self-test requirement: After installing this battery, allow the A100p to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Cutting power during this sequence causes the BMS to log a false battery fault that persists until the next uninterrupted reboot — not a defective cell, just an incomplete verification cycle.
A100p not completing boot sequence on a new battery
The A100p runs a BMS verification check during startup that compares the cell's resting voltage against a stored threshold. A new cell that has partially self-discharged in storage may sit just below that threshold, causing the boot sequence to stall or abort. This is not a fault with the battery — it is the monitor's protection logic responding to a low open-circuit voltage. Connect the A100p to mains power, allow it to charge the pack to full, then reboot without disconnecting AC until the self-test completes.
Charge indicator not reaching 100% on first charge
On the first charge cycle, the A100p's charge IC applies a conservative current limit to a new cell it has not previously profiled. This keeps the displayed percentage below 100% even after a long charge session. The monitor is not malfunctioning and the cell is not defective. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle and the charge IC recalibrates its capacity estimate — the indicator will read correctly from the second cycle onward.
