Airrobo P20 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (91069)
This is a 14.4V, 2600mAh lithium-ion replacement battery for the Airrobo P20 cordless vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part number 91069. When the original cell degrades and suction drops noticeably between charges, this brings the vacuum back to working condition.
- P20 platform fit: The P20 uses a fixed 14.4V architecture with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake. This replacement matches both the voltage rail and physical form factor — 69.20 × 37.00 × 37.00mm — so the charger recognises it correctly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the battery through charge and discharge cycles on the P20 motor load. The BMS held charge termination cleanly and did not trip on cold-start inrush from the motor.
- Dock charging on the P20: Do not leave the P20 sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging accelerates cell degradation on lithium-ion packs. Charge to full, then remove from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the P20
This is a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. When the filter is partially blocked, the P20 motor draws harder to maintain airflow, pulling more current from the battery than the BMS expects at that state of charge. Voltage sags under this elevated load, and the motor controller reads it as a low-battery condition before the cell is actually depleted. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers and lasts longer, the battery is not the cause.
P20 motor cuts out briefly then recovers mid-clean
This points to a BMS overcurrent trip rather than a dead cell. The P20's BMS monitors current draw continuously, and when restricted airflow forces the motor to sustain an elevated amp draw, the BMS trips as a protection measure and cuts output. It resets after a few seconds — which is why the vacuum recovers without you doing anything. Check the filter and the brush roll for blockages before assuming the battery is faulty. A clear airpath brings current draw back into the BMS's safe operating window.
