Why the N60 NC cuts out mid-track when ANC is active
The N60 NC draws from one cell for two simultaneous loads — the audio output stage and the ANC microphone-and-processing circuit. When the cell ages, voltage sags under that combined draw faster than it would under audio alone. The BMS interprets the sag as a low-cell condition and shuts the headset down even when the indicator still shows charge remaining. A fresh cell at full 3.7V nominal resolves the sag because the internal resistance is low enough to sustain both loads without tripping the cutoff threshold.
Battery indicator frozen at full after replacement
This happens when the replacement cell is installed at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — and the headset never completes a calibration cycle. The N60 NC reads state-of-charge relative to the first full-charge reference it logs after a new cell is fitted. If that reference was never set, the indicator stays locked. Fix it by charging to 4.2V in a single uninterrupted session before the first use. After one full charge-to-discharge cycle, the indicator will track correctly.
