Alcatel 1T 7" Replacement Battery - Replaces TLP025F7

$25.65In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Alcatel 1T 7" tablet model OT-8068, replaces TLP025F7, TLP025FA, TLP025FC battery packs.
  • 3.85V lithium-polymer cell rated 2450mAh—delivers the original power output your tablet needs without throttling.
  • Connector slides straight onto the internal JST receptacle with a single mechanical latch, no adhesive required.
  • We bench-tested this cell in the OT-8068 dock; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
  • After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%—this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves the inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

About this replacement

Alcatel 1T 7" / OT-8068 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP025F7)

This is a 3.85V, 2450mAh (9.43Wh) lithium-polymer battery for the Alcatel 1T 7" tablet and OT-8068 variant. It replaces OEM parts TLP025F7, TLP025FA, and TLP025FC. If your tablet won't hold a charge, dies unexpectedly, or won't power on at all, this cell is the direct swap.

  • 1T 7" and OT-8068 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and charge IC handshake. The TLP025F7 family covers all hardware revisions of this tablet — the BMS communicates the same way across each variant.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge and discharge cycle on an OT-8068 unit. The BMS accepted the charge from cold, balanced correctly across the Li-Polymer cell, and the tablet reported capacity without throwing a battery error flag.
  • Post-swap fuel gauge reset: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using it. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old degraded cell — one full cycle against the new cell corrects the calibration and clears inaccurate percentage readings.

Why the Alcatel 1T 7" shuts down at 15–25% remaining

The 1T 7" drives the display backlight and WiFi radio simultaneously, and that combined load creates a short voltage sag on the battery. When the cell is degraded or freshly installed without calibration, the fuel gauge reads this sag as the battery hitting its cutoff floor and triggers a shutdown. The actual state of charge is higher than the reading — the gauge just hasn't seen a clean voltage curve from the new cell yet. Run one complete discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the IC maps the correct voltage floor at approximately 3.4V.

Percentage jumping or dropping fast right after installation

This happens because the fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the old cell and applies it to the new one immediately. The result is a percentage that drops quickly from 100% or jumps several points during light use. It is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch. Discharge the tablet fully until it shuts itself off, then charge it in one session to 100% at the standard 5V charge rate to reset the stored capacity map.
