It matches the OEM voltage and physical footprint at 117.15 × 92.62 × 2.36mm. Swap it in when the original cell degrades and the tablet can no longer hold a charge through a normal day of use.

Alcatel A30 Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. It maps voltage to percentage based on the previous cell's discharge curve, which no longer matches the new cell. When display backlight and WiFi radio draw peak simultaneously, the voltage drops faster than the IC expects and it triggers a low-battery shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% corrects the curve — after that, shutdowns at 15–25% stop.
Fast charging not available after battery swap on the A30 Tablet
The A30 Tablet's charge IC negotiates charge rate during the first accepted charge cycle after a new cell is installed. Until that cycle completes, the system may default to standard 5V/1A input rather than the faster rate. Plug into the original Alcatel charger — not a generic USB hub — and let the tablet charge from zero to 100% without interruption. After that first complete cycle, fast charge negotiation resumes normally.
