Alcatel EE60 / Y854VB — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi051A2)
This is a 3.8V, 5000mAh (19Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel EE60 portable WiFi hotspot. It fits the EE60, EE60 4G, Y854VB, and One Touch Link Y854. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.

- Cellular signal and heat management: When connected devices are far from the hotspot, the cellular radio runs at full output power. Keep the EE60 within a few metres of your devices — this reduces transmit power, lowers heat output at the battery, and slows cell degradation over time.
Why the EE60 drops all connected clients mid-session
When the EE60 is running at maximum client connections, the combined draw from the cellular modem and the WiFi radio creates short but sharp current spikes. An aged or degraded cell cannot sustain voltage through those spikes, causing the BMS to trip the output and reset the device. A fresh 5000mAh cell has enough internal headroom to absorb those peaks without the voltage rail dropping below the BMS cutoff threshold. If drop-outs persist after a battery swap, check that the hotspot firmware is current — older firmware has known issues with power management under load.
EE60 won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the EE60 sat long enough, the battery may have dropped below the minimum boot voltage the device needs to initialise. The BMS enters a protection state and the device appears completely dead. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30–60 minutes before pressing the power button — most BMS circuits require a trickle pre-charge phase before they release the output. If the charge LED does not illuminate within five minutes of connecting the charger, the original cell has likely failed and needs replacement. The replacement TLi051A2 ships with a partial charge sufficient to clear the boot voltage threshold immediately.
