Alcatel Link Zone MW42LM — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi025GA)
The TLi025GA is a 3.7V, 2330mAh (8.62Wh) Li-ion battery for the Alcatel Link Zone mobile hotspot, including the MW42LM variant. It restores power to the unit when the original cell has degraded or failed entirely. Fit this battery and the hotspot returns to full wireless operation.

Heat trapped underneath the unit transfers directly into the battery cell and accelerates capacity loss over charge cycles.
Voltage sag on the MW42LM when multiple devices are connected simultaneously
The Link Zone runs two power-hungry subsystems at once — the cellular modem and the Wi-Fi radio. At maximum client connections, combined draw can spike sharply, pulling cell voltage down faster than the charge indicator reflects. A worn or partially degraded cell hits the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold before the indicator shows critical. A fresh TLi025GA cell handles this combined load without the premature shutdowns that a degraded original battery produces.
Link Zone won't power on after sitting unused for several weeks
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the hotspot sat powered off for an extended period, the cell may have dropped below the minimum boot voltage the BMS requires to allow startup — typically around 3.0V on this chemistry. The device won't power on even when placed on charge, because the BMS blocks current until it detects a safe cell voltage. Connect the unit to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on; if the cell has dropped too far to recover, replace it with a fresh TLi025GA and the BMS will re-initialise on first charge.
