Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 7.0 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp025GC)
The TLp025GC is a 3.8V, 2500mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 4 7.0 tablet series. It replaces the original battery when capacity fade causes shortened screen-on time or unexpected shutdowns. Compatible models include the One Touch Pixi 4 7.0, 3G, 4G, and OT-9003X variants.

- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a Pixi 4 7.0 unit. The BMS accepted charge termination at 4.35V and held stable voltage under combined Wi-Fi and display load without tripping overcurrent protection.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before operating normally — skipping this step causes the OS to report inaccurate percentages.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pixi 4 7.0 after a cell swap
The Pixi 4 7.0 fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old cell in its coulomb counter. When a new cell is installed without recalibration, the IC misjudges remaining capacity. Under modem or display load, actual cell voltage drops below the hardware cutoff threshold while the OS still shows 20–30% — triggering an abrupt shutdown. One full discharge-charge cycle clears the stored curve and retrains the gauge to the new cell's actual voltage profile.
Device will not power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and the TLp025GC ships at a partial state of charge for transport safety. If the cell voltage has dropped below 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charge current to protect the cell. The tablet will show no response to the charger or power button. Connect the device to a 5V USB charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–40 minutes — the BMS applies a low-current trickle to recover cell voltage before allowing full charge current to resume.
