Alcatel One Touch POP 8 Replacement Battery - Replaces TLp041C2

$26.88In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Alcatel One Touch POP 8 and P320A models, replacing OEM battery TLp041C2 and TLp041CC.
  • This 3.8V 4050mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity on tablets showing rapid drain or shutdown.
  • Connector type is proprietary Alcatel two-pin; orientation marked on the cell; no locking tab — seats flush into slot.
  • We bench-tested this pack in a One Touch POP 8 tablet; BMS accepted charge cycle without fault codes or thermal drift.
  • After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration and resolves inaccurate percentage display that appears after a battery swap.

About this replacement

Alcatel One Touch POP 8 / Trek HD — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp041C2)

This is a 3.8V, 4050mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Alcatel One Touch POP 8, P320A, Trek HD, and OT-9020A tablets. It replaces OEM part numbers TLp041C2 and TLp041CC. If your tablet drains faster than it used to or won't hold a charge at all, this is the correct cell.

  • POP 8 and Trek HD platform fit: These tablets share the same 3.8V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol across the P320A and OT-9020A variants. One SKU covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the POP 8 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity.
  • Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. The fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell's actual charge curve during that first full cycle — skipping this step is why most users see jumpy percentage readings after a swap.

Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new battery hits a voltage point the IC associates with near-empty on the old cell, it triggers a shutdown — even though actual capacity remains. The fix is a single full discharge-to-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the IC maps the new cell's voltage curve correctly and shutdowns stop occurring above 5%.

Fast charging unavailable on the POP 8 after a battery swap

The charge IC negotiates charge rate during the first accepted cycle. If the tablet was powered off during installation or the first charge was interrupted, the IC may default to a slow trickle rate and not step up. Plug into the original Alcatel charger — not a generic USB port — and let the first charge complete without unplugging early. After one complete cycle, the charge IC re-negotiates and fast charge resumes. Confirm the charger outputs at least 5V/2A to rule out the adapter as the limiting factor.
