Alcatel One Touch T60 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CAB14G0008C1)
This is a 3.7V, 2900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Alcatel One Touch T60 and OT-T60 tablets. It replaces OEM part numbers CAB14G0008C1 and CAB14G0005C1. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or when the tablet shuts down unexpectedly before reaching 0%.
- One Touch T60 and OT-T60 compatibility: Both model designations use the same 3.7V cell, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — the hardware is identical across those two SKUs, so one battery covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the T60 platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without triggering protection cutoff or thermal shutdown.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that almost always appear after a battery swap.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement
The T60's fuel gauge IC stores a charge map calibrated to the old cell. A new cell with slightly different internal resistance causes the IC to misread the voltage curve, triggering shutdown well before actual depletion. The fix is a full calibration cycle — drain to automatic shutoff, then charge to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle, the shutdowns at false percentages stop.
Fast charging unavailable after fitting the new cell
The T60 charge IC negotiates charge rate with the battery's BMS on the first accepted cycle. If the initial charge is interrupted or started from a low-power source, the handshake completes at standard rate and locks there. Use a wall adapter delivering at least 5V/2A for the first charge, let it complete without unplugging, and fast charge will be available from the second cycle onward.
