Alcatel OneTouch 1054 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TLi008C1)
The TLi008C1 is a 3.7V, 700mAh (2.59Wh) Li-ion cell for the Alcatel OneTouch 1054 feature phone. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped to the point where the phone no longer holds a usable charge through a day of light use. Physical dimensions are 53.20 × 34.00 × 4.70mm — check these against your existing cell before fitting.
- OneTouch 1054 fitment: The 1054 uses a removable back panel and a bare cell slot with pogo-pin contacts. The TLi008C1 matches the contact placement and cell footprint for this slot — no adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 1054 platform. The BMS accepted charge from the phone's internal charge IC without flags, and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge cutoff during the test drain.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after cell swap: After fitting, run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The 1054's fuel gauge IC maps its percentage readings to a discharge curve — skipping this step leaves it calibrated to the old cell and produces inaccurate readings from the first top-up.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the OneTouch 1054
The 1054's modem and display pull current spikes during calls and screen-on events. A cell with degraded capacity cannot sustain voltage under that load, and the phone cuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. This is a voltage cliff — the cell voltage collapses faster than the gauge can track. A fresh TLi008C1 cell raises the usable voltage floor, but the gauge still needs one full calibration cycle before its percentage readings reflect the new cell's actual discharge curve.
Phone shows 0% and won't power on after sitting in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the TLi008C1 drops below approximately 2.5V while stored in the phone, the BMS enters lockout and the phone appears completely dead — no boot, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a low-current trickle to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the charge LED does not appear within 30 minutes, check that the charger is supplying at least 5V at the USB port.
