Alcatel Pulsemix Replacement Battery - Replaces TLp027AJ

$21.32In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Alcatel Pulsemix and OT-5085C models, replaces TLp027AJ and CAC2710009CJ batteries.
  • 3.85V and 2800mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge cycles on a device that previously shut down early or drained rapidly.
  • Connector seats into the stock slot with standard Alcatel orientation; locking tab engages from the left side on insertion.
  • We bench-tested the TLp027AJ against a worn OT-5085C pack — BMS accepted charge current normally, fuel gauge IC needed one full cycle to track accurately.
  • On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-to-full-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

About this replacement

Alcatel Pulsemix / OT-5085C — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp027AJ)

This 3.85V, 2800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original TLp027AJ cell in the Alcatel Pulsemix, OT-5085C, A5, and One Touch A5 smartphones. It matches the factory voltage, physical footprint (77.73 × 62.70 × 3.40mm), and connector to the original. Fit this cell when the phone no longer holds charge, shuts down unexpectedly, or fails to power on.

  • Pulsemix / OT-5085C platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, flex connector pinout, and 3.85V nominal voltage rail. The TLp027AJ part number covers the full variant range, so one cell fits the hardware without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the OT-5085C platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge IC accepted the cell without flagging an error, and the protection circuit tripped at the correct low-voltage threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC in the Pulsemix is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — a slow first cycle lets the coulomb counter reset its reference before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pulsemix after a cell swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the aged cell the phone's fuel gauge was tracking. Under a high-current load — LTE modem active, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage can sag below the hardware cutoff threshold before the reported percentage reaches zero. The phone interprets this as a crash, not a low-battery shutdown. One full slow-rate discharge cycle lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's voltage cliff accurately and shift the cutoff trigger point accordingly.

Phone shows 0% and won't power on after sitting in storage

Li-Polymer cells left discharged below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS protection lockout — the circuit opens to prevent further self-discharge damage to the cell. The phone will not respond to a normal power-on attempt in this state. Connect the phone to a 5V charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the phone does not respond after 45 minutes on charge, check that the charger is delivering at least 5V 1A at the cable end.
