About this replacement
Amazfit GTS 2 Mini / A2010 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL402022GH)
This is a 3.85V, 220mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini (A2010) smartwatch. It replaces OEM part PL402022GH and restores power to the watch's heart rate monitor, activity tracking, sleep logging, and notification functions. Dimensions are 22.70 × 19.00 × 4.00mm — measure your existing cell before fitting if the housing shows any prior repair history.
- GTS 2 Mini / A2010 fitment: Both model designations run the same power rail and connector configuration. The PL402022GH cell interfaces directly with the onboard fuel gauge IC — no firmware changes or hardware modifications needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the GTS 2 Mini platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the fuel gauge IC re-initialised correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
- Post-swap charge requirement: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before using it. The GTS 2 Mini's fuel gauge IC cannot set an accurate reference point without one full charge cycle from near-zero following a cell swap — skipping this step causes inaccurate battery percentage readings from day one.
Why the GTS 2 Mini fuel gauge reads wildly wrong after a cell swap
The GTS 2 Mini uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that tracks charge by measuring current flow from a known starting reference. When you remove the old cell, that reference is wiped. The IC wakes up with the new cell and has no baseline — so it guesses, often badly. One full charge to 100% from a low state gives the IC the fixed endpoint it needs to recalibrate its count. Until that cycle completes, percentage readings and low-battery warnings will not be accurate.
Watch not pairing to phone after battery replacement
Removing the battery terminates the active BLE session between the watch and the Zepp app. The app retains the old device record but the watch has no session to resume. On the watch, go to Settings → System → Forget Device, then remove the watch from Bluetooth settings on your phone. Re-pair fresh through the Zepp app — the watch will appear as a new device and complete the handshake normally.
