Amazfit GTS 3 Replacement Battery - Replaces PL462023

$21.94In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Amazfit GTS 3 and GTS 3 A2035 smartwatches, replacing original part number PL462023.
  • Voltage 3.87V, capacity 240mAh delivers the energy density required for multi-day fitness tracking and continuous heart rate monitoring on this platform.
  • Connector is a two-pin pogo contact set; alignment matters — contacts sit flush against the watch PCB with no mechanical locking tab.
  • We bench-tested this cell in a GTS 3 motherboard simulator; the BMS accepted the full charge cycle without fault codes or early cutoff events.
  • After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

About this replacement

Amazfit GTS 3 / A2035 — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL462023)

This 3.87V, 240mAh Li-Polymer cell is a direct replacement for the Amazfit GTS 3 smartwatch (model A2035). It fits the compact 21.60 × 19.40 × 4.40mm battery bay and uses the same OEM part number PL462023. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a meaningful charge across a full day of use.

  • GTS 3 and A2035 compatibility: Both model designations reference the same hardware revision. The battery bay dimensions, connector tab orientation, and BMS handshake are identical across that production run — this cell meets all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a GTS 3 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the fuel gauge IC registered correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap charge requirement for GTS 3: After fitting this cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and run it to 100% before wearing it. The fuel gauge IC on the GTS 3 loses its voltage reference during cell removal and cannot recalibrate without one complete charge cycle from near-zero.

Why the GTS 3 shows 0% and refuses to power on after a battery swap

The GTS 3 uses a coulomb-counting fuel gauge IC that stores its reference state in volatile memory. When you disconnect the old cell, that reference is lost. The IC wakes with no baseline and defaults to reporting 0%, which triggers a low-battery lockout in the firmware. This is not a fault with the new cell. Place the watch on charge immediately after reassembly and leave it until the charge indicator shows 100%.

New battery draining in one day when the old one used to last several

A fresh cell exposes how power-hungry the GTS 3's active feature set actually is — the old degraded cell was masking the draw by shutting off early. Continuous heart rate monitoring, always-on display mode, and frequent wrist-raise detection together pull steady current that compresses real-world usage. Check the watch settings and disable always-on display if multi-day use matters more than the persistent clock face. GPS-based workout tracking is a separate, higher-draw event — expect accelerated drain on days with recorded sessions.
