This 3.7V, 3800mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 10 and Kindle Fire HD 10.1 tablets (models SR87CV, B00VKIY9RG). It fits the same physical footprint at 115.44 x 99.20 x 2.42mm and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuit. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or shuts the tablet down early.

One full recalibration cycle — full discharge to shutoff, then a full uninterrupted charge — teaches the fuel gauge the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve and typically resolves this.
Fast charging not available after battery replacement
Amazon's charge controller uses a proprietary negotiation sequence to enable fast charging on the Kindle Fire HD 10. A new cell starts the first cycle in a conservative trickle-charge state while the charge IC confirms cell impedance and BMS handshake. This is expected behaviour, not a fault. Fast charge typically becomes available after the first full accepted charge cycle — use the original Amazon power adapter and cable, not a third-party charger, to ensure the negotiation completes correctly.
