BMS cutoff during thick-grass or wet-grass passes
When the blade motor hits dense or wet grass, inrush current spikes sharply. If that spike exceeds the BMS overcurrent threshold — especially on a warm pack already mid-cycle — the BMS trips and cuts power to protect the cells. The mower stops, then typically recovers once the BMS resets. Letting the pack cool for five minutes before restarting clears the trip in most cases.
Charger rejecting the pack after winter storage
Li-ion cells left in storage through winter can self-discharge below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically under 20V for a 25.9V pack. The dock reads this as a fault and refuses to begin a charge cycle. Some Ambrogio chargers will accept a slow trickle-charge recovery if the pack sits on the dock for 15–30 minutes before the charger attempts full CC/CV charging. If the pack voltage has dropped below 18V, cell recovery is unlikely and replacement is the correct step.
