This is an 11.1V, 15600mAh Li-ion battery pack built to replace the original Z-WIB233 unit in the American DJ WIFLY BAR RGBA wireless LED light bar. The WIFLY BAR RGBA runs on battery during cordless stage, event, and studio operation, and this replacement restores that capability when the original cell degrades. Voltage and capacity match the factory spec exactly.

Why the WIFLY BAR RGBA dims before the battery indicator hits low

The LED driver in the WIFLY BAR RGBA operates in constant-current mode, pulling a fixed current regardless of pack voltage. As cell voltage sags under sustained load — especially at full RGBA output — the pack voltage drops faster than the indicator circuit tracks. The indicator reads state-of-charge from a voltage curve calibrated for a healthy cell, so a degraded pack will sag into the driver's undervoltage threshold before the LED indicator registers low. If the fixture dims or steps down while the indicator still shows two or more bars, the pack cells have lost capacity and can no longer sustain the voltage rail under full draw.

Battery not recognised after extended storage in the WIFLY BAR RGBA

A Li-ion pack left discharged for several months can drop below the BMS acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 7.5V for a 3S pack. When the WIFLY BAR RGBA's driver polls the battery on power-up and reads a voltage below that floor, it rejects the pack and the fixture won't initialise. To recover the pack, connect it to a Li-ion charger that supports a recovery or "trickle" mode, which applies a low pre-charge current to bring each cell above the threshold before entering normal CC/CV charging. Once the pack reaches approximately 9V total, a standard charge cycle should complete normally.
