Apple A2925 Replacement Battery - Replaces 0099S

Why this battery

  • Fits Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch 6th gen model A2925, replaces OEM part 661-43535.
  • 3.82V, 10200mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity on this display-heavy 12.9-inch tablet.
  • Connector attaches to the logic board flex without a locking mechanism — alignment is friction-fit only.
  • We bench-tested this cell against a discharged A2925 pack; the BMS accepted the new firmware handshake on first insertion.
  • After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves the inaccurate percentage display that appears after a swap.

About this replacement

Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) — 3.82V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0099S / 661-43535)

This is a 3.82V, 10200mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024), covering fit models A2925, A2926, and A3007. It replaces the original cell when charge capacity has dropped or the battery has failed outright. Install restores the full power budget the display, Apple M-series chip, and wireless radios draw from.

  • A2925 / A2926 / A3007 platform fit: All three model numbers share the same enclosure geometry, battery connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the entire 2024 13-inch iPad Pro lineup without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 2024 iPad Pro 13-inch. The BMS accepted the charge IC negotiation without fault flags, and capacity reporting stabilised after one full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge IC recalibration after swap: After installation, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without interruption. This single full cycle resets the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual capacity curve and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

iPad Pro shutting down at 15–25% battery remaining

The 2024 iPad Pro's combined display and WiFi load creates a brief high-current draw that can push cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. The fuel gauge is reading state-of-charge from a calibration curve mapped to the old cell, so the numbers no longer reflect the new cell's actual voltage floor. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle the gauge recalibrates and shutoffs at low percentage stop occurring.

USB-PD fast charging not available after battery replacement

iPadOS withholds USB Power Delivery negotiation on a freshly swapped cell until the charge IC has completed at least one accepted charge cycle. Until that cycle completes, the tablet draws at standard 5V rather than stepping up to the 9V or higher PD profile. Plug into a USB-PD charger and let the tablet charge fully to 100% without interruption. Fast charge becomes available on the next charge session once the IC logs a successful full cycle against the new cell.
