Apple iPhone 11 Pro — 3.83V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (616-00659)
This 3500mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the iPhone 11 Pro (A2215, A2160). It runs at 3.83V nominal and delivers 13.41Wh of capacity. If your phone shuts down unexpectedly, struggles to hold charge, or drains fast under load, this cell addresses those failure points directly.
- iPhone 11 Pro fit (A2215, A2160): These two model numbers share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Both draw from the same 3.83V rail, so one cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on an iPhone 11 Pro chassis and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly. The fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell and charge termination triggered at the correct voltage ceiling — no false-full events on the first cycle.
- First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the iPhone 11 Pro after a cell swap
The 11 Pro's modem and OLED panel can spike current draw sharply during cellular handoffs or high-brightness use. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it miscalculates the remaining capacity. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already dropped past the safe threshold under load. One full discharge-charge cycle corrects the fuel gauge mapping and eliminates most post-swap shutdowns.
USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After a cell swap, the charge IC may withhold USB-PD negotiation on the first cycle as a precaution while the BMS initialises against the new cell. You'll see slower-than-normal charging through the first full cycle — this is normal behaviour, not a fault. Once the BMS completes its initial calibration pass, fast charge resumes automatically on the second cycle. If it hasn't resumed by the third cycle, check that the Lightning cable and adapter are USB-PD rated.
