The 1005HA BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers that still hold the old cell's degradation profile. Swapping the physical cell does not reset those registers automatically. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% and the BIOS will rewrite its learn cycle data against the new cell.

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The percentage reading is based on the old curve, so the reported figure and the real cell voltage diverge under load. When the CPU and display draw peaks, the cell hits its actual low-voltage cutoff before the gauge reaches 0%. Two or three full discharge-and-charge cycles realign the fuel gauge IC. After calibration, the cutoff will track correctly down to the BMS floor at approximately 9.0V under load.
