This 3.8V, 3900mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Asus MeMO Pad HD7, ME173X, ME180A, and related MeMO Pad HD variants. It matches the OEM part numbers C11P1304, C11Pn51, C11PN9H, C11P1326, and 0B200-00800000. Voltage and connector placement are direct matches to the original hardware.
- ME173X and ME180A compatibility: Both tablets share the same 3.8V battery rail and C11P1304-series cell footprint. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the range, so one cell covers multiple board revisions without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the ME173X mainboard. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes, and the BMS held within spec voltage limits across the full cycle.
- Fuel gauge reset after installation: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell and clears the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.
Tablet shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery replacement
The MeMO Pad HD7's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the worn-out cell it just replaced. When the new cell hits the voltage curve around 3.6V, the old calibration data reads it as critically low and triggers a shutdown — even though usable charge remains. The tablet's combined WiFi radio and display load accelerates the voltage drop at that point in the curve, making the cutoff happen faster than expected. One full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the IC calibration and resolves this.
Fast charging unavailable after battery swap on MeMO Pad HD
After installing a new cell, some MeMO Pad HD units revert to standard 5V charging and refuse to negotiate higher rates. The charge IC needs at least one completed charge cycle before it re-establishes the protocol handshake with the original charger. Use the OEM adapter, charge to 100% without interruption, and the fast charge rate should return on the following cycle. If it does not, check the adapter output — the ME180A expects a 5V/2A minimum to unlock faster charging.
