This is a 3.8V, 5100mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Asus Padfone 2 Tablet, including the A68 variant. It replaces OEM part number C11-P03 — the original cell that powers the tablet during use. If your Padfone 2 no longer holds a charge, shuts down unexpectedly, or won't power on at all, this is the correct replacement cell.

Padfone 2 shutting down at 15–25% remaining after battery swap
This is a fuel gauge IC issue, not a cell defect. The gauge IC stores calibration data tied to the old cell's internal resistance curve. When the cell is replaced, the reported percentage drifts — the tablet thinks it has charge left but the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the system cutoff threshold. Under combined display and WiFi load, voltage sags faster than the uncalibrated gauge tracks. Running one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration and resolves the premature cutoff.
Fast charging unavailable on Padfone 2 after cell replacement
The Padfone 2 charge IC uses a protocol handshake at the start of each charge session to determine the safe fast-charge rate for the connected cell. On a freshly installed battery, this negotiation may default to slow charge on the first cycle. This is not a fault with the charger or the cell. Connect the original Asus charger and complete one full charge cycle from low to 100% — on the second cycle, the charge IC accepts the higher current rate and fast charging resumes.
