Windows reads the Wh figure stored in the battery's EEPROM, not from live measurement. The value in EEPROM may differ from the actual chemistry rating of a replacement cell. After two or three full calibration cycles, some firmware revisions update the displayed figure to match actual measured output. If the figure persists, verify the reading against actual charge behavior rather than treating the displayed number as accurate.
