Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage — at 3.6V nominal, a depleted cell can drop below the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.8V per cell, causing the device to refuse to boot. The BMS interprets this voltage as a damaged or absent pack. Place the cell on charge for a minimum of four hours before attempting to power on the V-2200. If the device still does not boot, confirm the charger output is delivering current — a cell voltage below 1.0V per cell may require a manual trickle pre-charge before the BMS will engage.
