MD125 not recognising the pack after extended storage
Alkaline cells self-discharge slowly over months in storage. If the MD125 has sat unused in a carry case, the battery may have dropped below the instrument's minimum recognition voltage. The instrument may power on briefly then cut off, or show no response at all. Check open-circuit voltage before installing — a stored HO-11787 pack should read at or above 6.0V to guarantee normal instrument startup.
