Autec FUA10 / UTX97 / CB71.F — 7.2V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (NC0707L)
This is a 7.2V 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement for the Autec NC0707L and MH0707L battery packs. It fits the FUA10 crane remote, UTX97 transmitter, and CB71.F controller. Voltage and cell count match the original spec — the remote powers on and transmits commands without modification.
- FUA10, UTX97, and CB71.F compatibility: These three Autec units share the same 7.2V six-cell NiMH pack format and connector pinout. One battery fits all three because the BMS voltage thresholds and physical form factor are identical across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge cycles and confirmed the BMS accepted charge without fault flags. Solenoid activation during load testing did not cause voltage dropout — the cell capacity held above the remote's low-battery cutoff threshold under repetitive relay cycling.
- Pre-use charging on crane remotes: Autec crane remotes shipped with a new battery or returned from storage will show low battery immediately — NiMH cells arrive at storage voltage, not full charge. Connect to the Autec charger and complete a full cycle before the first transmission on site.
Why Autec crane remotes cut out during solenoid or relay activation
When the remote triggers a solenoid or contactor, the inrush current spike can briefly drag cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold. This causes the remote to drop out mid-command — not a transmitter fault, but a battery capacity issue. A degraded or partially charged pack has higher internal resistance, which amplifies the voltage sag under load. A fresh, fully charged 2000mAh cell keeps voltage above the cutoff even during back-to-back solenoid activations.
Remote not powering on after months of infrequent use
NiMH cells discharged below roughly 0.9V per cell during extended storage can trigger BMS lockout — the protection circuit reads the pack as defective and blocks charge input. The remote won't power on even with a charger connected. Connect the Autec charger and leave it for 30 minutes before checking for a charge indicator. If the charger accepts the pack and begins cycling, the cells are recovering; allow the full charge sequence to complete before use.
