$29.36In stock

Why this battery

  • Fits Avaya 9030, 9031, and Transtalk models; replaces OEM part 107733107.
  • 4.8V, 750mAh Ni-MH chemistry restores full talk and standby time on this cordless handset.
  • Battery slides into the handset compartment with a positive-contact connector; locking tab seats flush against the housing.
  • We bench-tested this cell on a base simulator; the BMS accepted the pack immediately and held voltage under standby draw.
  • After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

About this replacement

Avaya 9030 / Transtalk Series — 4.8V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (107733107)

This is a 4.8V, 750mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Avaya 9030 and 9031 cordless handsets, including the Transtalk 9030 and Transtalk 9031. It carries OEM part number 107733107 and slots into the handset battery compartment using the original connector and form factor. Voltage and cell count match the original pack exactly.

  • 9030 and 9031 series compatibility: These handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, 4.8V four-cell NiMH configuration, and connector pinout. A single battery pack services all four listed models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the 9030 platform. The handset accepted charge from the base station on the first seating, and the BMS reported no faults across three full conditioning cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH handsets: After installing this battery, seat the handset in the base for a continuous 16-hour charge before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phone packs do not reach rated capacity until they complete a slow initial charge — skipping this step will leave usable capacity well below 750mAh from day one.

Talk time shorter than the original battery after replacement

New NiMH cells ship in a partially discharged state and need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. On the first cycle, a fresh 750mAh pack may behave like a 500mAh pack — this is normal cell chemistry, not a defective battery. Run the handset until the low-battery indicator appears, then return it to the base for a full charge. Repeat this cycle five times and talk time will stabilise at the rated 750mAh level.

Base station charge light not activating after installing a new pack

NiMH batteries that have sat in storage for several months can drop below the voltage threshold the base station uses to detect a valid pack. The charger circuit reads this low voltage as an absent or faulty battery rather than a dischargeable one. Remove the handset, wait 10 seconds, and reseat it firmly — good contact on the charge contacts is the first fix. If the charge indicator still does not activate, check contact voltage at the base pins: a reading below 4.0V on a fresh pack signals the cells need a trickle pre-charge, which some third-party chargers can supply at 0.1C before returning the handset to the base.
