This 12V 3600mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the internal power cell in B.Braun Outlook 100ES, 200ES, 300ES, and 400ES Safety Infusion pumps. It covers eight additional Outlook ES variants using the same battery bay and connector. Capacity follows the original specification: 3600mAh / 43.2Wh.

Why the Outlook ES alarms low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge
The Outlook ES charge IC applies a conservative acceptance threshold tuned to aged OEM cells. A fresh Ni-MH cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile on cycle one, which the BMS can read as below the pass threshold. This is not a faulty cell. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — the BMS recalibrates its internal reference after the first full cycle and the alarm clears on subsequent charges.
Pump will not power on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage at roughly 1–3% per day. If the cell voltage has dropped below the Outlook ES BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.5V for a 12V Ni-MH pack — the pump will not boot. Connect the pump to mains and leave it on charge for a full uninterrupted cycle before attempting to power on. Check that the charge indicator is advancing; if it is not, verify the mains connection before assuming cell failure.
