This 3.7V 600mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number FT442944P in the Babymoov parent unit. It fits the A014301, A014303, Babyphone Expert Care Digital, and Expert Care III models. When the original cell loses capacity, the parent unit can no longer hold a charge long enough for overnight monitoring — this battery restores that function.
- A014301, A014303, Expert Care Digital and III compatibility: These parent units share the same PCB layout, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The FT442944P cell format — 45.50 × 26.60 × 4.60mm — fits all four variants without modification.

Parent unit battery draining overnight with screen active
The A014301 parent unit runs its display, radio receiver, and audio circuit simultaneously during overnight use. That sustained draw is hard on a 600mAh cell. The screen-on state alone accounts for a significant portion of the drain. Enable the screen timeout function in the parent unit settings — the radio and audio monitoring continue in the background while the display sleeps, reducing the overnight load on the cell considerably.
Night vision feed drops or appears dark after battery replacement
The camera unit's IR LEDs draw more current than the standard video circuit. If the parent unit battery is not fully charged after a swap, the radio link can run at reduced voltage, causing the received image to drop frames or appear dark. This is not a camera fault — it is a voltage-sensitive symptom on the receiving end. Charge the parent unit to 4.2V (until the charge indicator shows full) before testing night vision.
