About this replacement
Babymoov A014414 / YOO Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FT453548P)
This 3.7V 800mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number FT453548P in the parent unit of select Babymoov audio baby monitors. It fits the A014414, A014415, YOO SEE, and YOO ESSENTIAL models. Swap it in when the original battery no longer holds enough charge to keep the parent unit portable through the night.
- A014414, A014415, YOO SEE, YOO ESSENTIAL compatibility: These parent units share the same battery bay dimensions and FT453548P connector footprint. The BMS in each unit negotiates the same 3.7V nominal rail, so one cell covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Babymoov parent unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes or cutoff trips. Capacity read within expected range of the rated 800mAh spec.
- Post-swap wireless re-pair: When a baby monitor parent unit loses power completely — as it does during a battery swap — it drops its wireless link to the camera unit. After fitting this battery, power on both units and run the pairing sequence from the A014414 menu before use.
Parent unit range reduction after battery swap
The radio transmitter in the A014414 parent unit draws more power at longer distances, and its output is voltage-sensitive. A partially charged new cell delivers less than the 3.7V nominal rail, which throttles effective transmission range. Users often mistake this for a faulty battery when the real cause is a cell that hasn't reached full charge yet. Charge the parent unit to 100% before testing range across rooms.
Night vision not working after fitting a new battery
The IR LEDs on the camera unit need the system voltage to be stable before they activate at full intensity — but this symptom is on the parent unit side too. If the parent unit screen shows the camera feed but the image is dark or grainy at night, the battery charge level is likely below the threshold where the display backlight and IR interpretation circuit both run cleanly. Charge the parent unit fully and allow both units five minutes to re-establish a stable link. If the image remains dark, confirm the camera unit is positioned within 1 metre of an unobstructed line of sight during the first post-swap pairing.
