This 3.7V 1000mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces part number FT484655P in the Babymoov parent handset unit. It fits the A014416, A014422, Babyphone Video YOO-care, and Babyphone Video YOO-travel monitors. Capacity is 1000mAh (3.7Wh), matching the original specification.
- A014416 and YOO-series parent units: These models share the same FT484655P cell format — identical 3.7V rail, same flat Li-Polymer profile (47.30 × 37.50 × 4.80mm), and compatible connector pinout. The BMS initialises correctly on first charge without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Babymoov parent unit. The BMS accepted the new cell immediately, charged to 4.2V without fault flags, and maintained stable voltage under the screen-on and radio-active load the parent unit draws during normal monitoring.
- Wireless re-pair after replacement: The parent unit loses its link to the camera unit when power drops to zero during a battery swap. Once the new battery is installed and the unit powers on, run the pairing sequence from the parent unit menu before placing the monitor in service — do not assume the link restores automatically.
Parent unit not connecting to camera unit after battery swap
A complete power interruption clears the parent unit's stored pairing data on some Babymoov models. The camera unit continues broadcasting, but the parent unit has no record of the channel or encryption key. Go to the parent unit's pairing or channel menu and initiate a fresh scan with both units powered on and within one metre of each other. Once paired, range returns to normal — typically confirmed when the camera image appears at full signal strength.
Night vision drops out or stays off after fitting a new battery
The IR LEDs in Babymoov camera units draw a separate power path, but the parent unit's low-battery state can suppress the night vision request signal it sends to the camera. If night vision is absent immediately after a battery swap, the replacement cell may not yet be sufficiently charged. Charge the parent unit to full — 4.2V at the cell — before testing night vision. If the IR image still does not appear, check the night mode setting in the parent unit menu, as it can default to off after a power loss.
