This 3.7V, 1400mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces part number FT544060P in the Babymoov parent unit. It fits the A014416, A014417, A014420, and Babyphone YOO-feel series wireless baby monitors. The parent unit is the handheld receiver parents carry — this battery keeps it running away from the mains.
- A014416 / A014417 / A014420 / YOO-feel platform: These models share the same parent unit housing, 3.7V power rail, and FT544060P battery footprint. The connector and BMS handshake are identical across the series, so one cell covers all listed variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the parent unit platform. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, voltage held stable at 3.7V nominal, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold without false cutoffs.
- Wireless re-pair after swap: When the parent unit loses power completely during a battery change, it drops its stored link to the camera unit. After fitting this battery, hold the pair button on both units until the camera feed reappears on the parent screen — skipping this step is the most common reason the monitor shows no signal after a battery replacement.
Parent unit battery draining overnight during active monitoring
Running the parent unit all night with the screen on is a sustained, high-draw use case for a 1400mAh cell. The LCD backlight and 2.4GHz radio together pull significantly more current than standby mode. Most Babymoov parent units include a screen timeout or VOX (voice-activated) setting — enabling it lets the screen go dark between sounds, reducing draw considerably. Set screen timeout to the shortest interval that still suits your monitoring routine.
Night vision not working after fitting the new battery
The camera unit's infrared LEDs require a stable voltage from the camera's own power supply — not the parent unit battery — but if the parent unit battery is too low on first boot, the RF link can fail to negotiate a full-feature handshake. This leaves the parent unit displaying a signal but without IR mode active. Charge the parent unit to at least 3.9V before the first pairing attempt. If night vision still doesn't activate, re-pair both units from a full charge.
