Babymoov A014425 / Yoo Twist — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (FT704050P)
This 3.7V 1600mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the internal battery in the Babymoov A014425 parent unit. It also fits the Babyphone Yoo Twist (A014431), which shares the same internal layout and connector. Swap it in when the parent unit no longer holds a charge between top-ups.
- A014425 and Yoo Twist parent unit fit: Both monitors use the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer configuration, the same FT704050P footprint, and the same JST-style connector on the PCB. One battery covers all three model numbers listed above.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a regulated bench supply at 3.7V nominal. The BMS held cutoff cleanly at both low-voltage and overcharge thresholds, with no fault flags during the charge cycle.
- Post-swap pairing check: After fitting a new battery, the parent unit needs to re-establish its wireless link with the camera unit. A full power interruption clears the active pairing state — hold the pair button on both units until the link LED confirms connection before placing the monitor back in the nursery.
Parent unit battery draining overnight during nursery monitoring
Night-time monitoring puts a sustained load on the parent unit. If the screen stays on continuously and the audio channel remains open, the 1600mAh cell sees a steady draw across the full night. Babymoov parent units include a screen timeout setting — activating it reduces the display backlight load significantly. Set the timeout to its shortest interval and rely on audio alerts rather than leaving the screen active.
Night vision drops out after fitting a replacement battery
The IR LED array on the camera unit is not directly affected by the parent unit battery, but the parent unit's radio receiver needs adequate voltage to maintain a stable signal lock at night when the camera switches to IR mode. If the new battery ships partially discharged, the parent unit radio operates below its ideal voltage window and the video feed can drop or show a blank screen. Charge the parent unit fully before first use — confirmed by a solid charge indicator, not just the charging icon appearing. Once at full charge, the night vision feed should stabilise immediately.
