Bissell Pet Stain Eraser / Pet Stain Eraser Duo — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1626647 S20R)
This 7.4V, 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Bissell Pet Stain Eraser and Pet Stain Eraser Duo portable spot cleaners. It powers the motorized brush and spray functions on models 3706 and P3000, among others. Capacity matches the factory specification at 2500mAh (18.5Wh).
- Pet Stain Eraser platform fit: The 3706, P3000, and Duo variants all run the same 7.4V two-cell Li-ion architecture with an identical connector and BMS handshake. Swapping between these models does not require any adapter or wiring change — the pack seats and communicates the same way across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through repeated spray-and-brush loads on a 3706 unit. The BMS held the discharge cutoff steady at the expected 6.0V floor and did not trip during the brush motor's start-up surge, which briefly spikes current demand above the steady-state draw.
- Dock charge management on spot cleaners: The Pet Stain Eraser sits on a countertop cradle between uses, and many owners leave it docked indefinitely. Li-ion cells held at full charge and trickle-fed by a dock charger lose usable capacity faster than cells allowed to discharge before recharging. Charge the unit fully, then remove it from the cradle until the next use.
Spray function cutting out while brush motor still runs
The Pet Stain Eraser runs its brush motor and spray pump from the same 7.4V cell stack, but the pump draws a brief high-current pulse each time it fires. On a degraded battery, that pulse pulls the cell voltage low enough for the BMS to momentarily restrict output to the pump circuit while keeping the lower-draw brush motor running. The result is a brush that keeps spinning but a pump that stops spraying mid-use. This is not a pump failure — it is a cell voltage sag event. A fresh pack with healthy internal resistance eliminates it.
Replacement battery not recognised by the charger cradle
Some Pet Stain Eraser cradles expect a BMS handshake signal before enabling the charge current. If the charger LED stays off or flashes an error pattern after fitting a replacement pack, the first step is to seat the battery firmly — the contact pins on these cradles are shallow and misalignment breaks the signal path. If the LED still does not respond, discharge the pack briefly by running the brush for 10–15 seconds, then re-dock. This resets the BMS negotiation state and typically clears the no-charge condition.
