A freshly installed cell sometimes hasn't completed the BMS handshake the terminal expects, so the boot sequence stalls or loops. This isn't a faulty battery — it's the terminal waiting for the BMS to confirm cell status. Connect the terminal to the charger, allow a full charge cycle to complete, then power on without the charger connected.
Terminal rebooting mid-transaction during receipt printing
Receipt printer motors create a sharp current spike at the moment paper starts feeding. On a degraded original battery, that spike can push the draw past the BMS overcurrent threshold, triggering an immediate shutdown and reboot.
