Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low
The DVJ325J motor draws more current when airflow is restricted — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, which increases current draw and causes the battery voltage to sag under load. The BMS reads that sag as a low-cell-voltage condition and backs off power delivery before the indicator LED registers low. The fix is almost always the filter: clean or replace it, and the motor returns to rated draw. After cleaning, verify the pack is charged above 11.1V resting voltage before the next use.
Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When sustained suction restriction — a blockage, a clogged filter, or a sealed nozzle — forces the motor to pull current above the BMS threshold, the pack shuts output to protect the cells. After a short thermal recovery window, the BMS resets and the motor starts again. Remove the obstruction or clean the filter before restarting. If the motor continues to trip with a clean filter, measure resting pack voltage: a healthy 11.1V three-cell pack should read between 11.4V and 12.6V fully charged.
