BLU Dash X Plus / D950 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C105440270P)
This is a 3.7V, 2700mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the BLU Dash X Plus, D950, D950U, and D950L smartphones. It replaces OEM part number C105440270P. Fit the new cell when the original no longer holds a charge or shuts down unexpectedly under load.
- D950 series compatibility: The D950, D950U, and D950L share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All three accept this 101.90 × 53.90 × 3.80mm cell without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a D950 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted charge immediately, with no false full-charge cutoff on the first cycle. Voltage held steady at 3.7V nominal across a full discharge sweep.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for your first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. This allows the fuel gauge IC to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the D950 after a cell swap
A new cell has a different internal resistance profile than the worn cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated against. Under modem or display load, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops sharply — faster than the gauge expects. The IC interprets this as a depleted cell and triggers a protection shutdown, even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and eliminates these early shutdowns.
OS reporting wrong battery percentage after fitting the replacement
The fuel gauge IC on the D950 stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. A new cell with different impedance characteristics makes the reported percentage drift — often reading 15–20% higher than actual state of charge. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Drain the battery to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable early. After one full cycle, the coulomb counter re-anchors to the new cell curve and percentage accuracy stabilises.
