One full uncalibrated discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter to match the new cell. After that cycle, the shutdown floor should move to 5% or below.
Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells that sit uncharged for weeks can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering a BMS lockout that blocks normal boot. The Life Pay mini will show nothing on screen — not even the charging indicator — for the first 10–20 minutes on the charger. Leave it connected to a wall adapter, not a USB port, until the BMS releases and the charging animation appears. Once it shows activity, let it charge to at least 15% before attempting to power on.
