About this replacement
BLU Life View TAB / L800 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (P104-J92)
This is a 3.7V, 5200mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the BLU Life View TAB tablet (models L800 and L800L). It carries OEM part number P104-J92 and slots into the same housing as the original cell. Replace it when the existing battery no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the tablet at all.
- L800 and L800L compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and charge IC communication protocol — this cell works across the L800 and L800L without any hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran P104-J92 cells through charge and discharge cycles on the Life View TAB platform. The BMS handshook correctly with the charge IC on first insertion, and protection circuits tripped at expected voltage thresholds under combined display and Wi-Fi load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the tablet. This forces the fuel gauge IC to recalibrate against the new cell capacity and eliminates the inaccurate percentage readings that appear immediately after replacement.
BLU Life View TAB shutting down at 15–25% remaining
This happens when the display backlight and active Wi-Fi pull simultaneous current that drops cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the OS still reports charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the worn original cell and its voltage curve no longer matches the replacement. Run one full discharge cycle to shutoff and one uninterrupted charge to 100% to resync the gauge. After that cycle, low-percentage shutdowns on this load profile stop.
Fast charging not available after battery replacement on the Life View TAB
The charge IC on the Life View TAB negotiates charge rate with the battery's BMS during the first accepted charge cycle. Until that negotiation completes, the system falls back to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Plug into the original BLU charger, let the tablet charge uninterrupted from below 20% to 100%, and do not disconnect mid-cycle. Fast charge availability typically resumes after that first complete cycle.
