It replaces OEM part C104243210T and fits the D710, D710X, and Neo 5.5 alongside the Studio 5.5 K. If your original cell swells, drops off sharply under load, or no longer holds a full day of use, this is the direct swap.
- Studio 5.5 K / D710 platform fit: The D710 and D710X share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake as the Studio 5.5 K. All units in this cluster run a single 3.8V nominal cell rail, so one cell SKU covers the group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the D710 platform. The BMS accepted charge current without fault flags, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold — no thermal events during the test run.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before any high-current charging session pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BLU Studio 5.5 K
This happens when the cell cannot sustain voltage under the combined load of the modem radio, screen, and background apps. As the cell ages, its internal resistance climbs — under peak draw, terminal voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. A fresh cell with lower internal resistance holds voltage through those load spikes. After fitting the replacement, run one full discharge cycle so the fuel gauge IC resets its cutoff reference to the new cell's actual curve.
Phone reports wrong battery percentage after fitting the replacement cell
The BLU Studio 5.5 K uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model against the previous cell's discharge profile. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still working from the old calibration — so percentage readings jump, drop unexpectedly, or plateau for long stretches. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge to full without interruption. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge recalibrates and percentage reporting stabilises.
