About this replacement
BLU V9 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C876345400P)
This 3.8V, 3800mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the original C876345400P battery in BLU V9, V0450UU, and G8 G0170 smartphones. It matches the OEM voltage, capacity, and connector spec directly. Dimensions are 85.40 × 62.50 × 4.12mm — confirm clearance before fitting.
- V9, V0450UU, and G8 G0170 compatibility: These three models share the same battery bay geometry, 3.8V nominal rail, and connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across the series, so one cell covers all three without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on BLU hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V as expected for the LP chemistry.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
A fresh cell in a BLU V9 can still trigger unexpected shutdowns at 20–30% charge remaining. The cause is a voltage cliff — under modem transmission load or screen-on current, the cell voltage drops sharply below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads charge remaining. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so its percentage estimate is off. Run one full discharge to near shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% to force the coulomb counter to recalibrate.
Phone warm near the battery during the first charge cycle
New lithium-polymer cells have slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. During the first charge, the charge IC pushes current into that higher impedance, and some energy converts to heat. This is normal on cycle one and typically settles by cycle two or three. If the phone stays warm past the third full charge, check that fast charging is not active — turn it off in Settings and confirm the charger output matches the OEM 5V/2A spec.
