Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the BBH3 platform, suction loss often has nothing to do with remaining charge. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder to maintain airflow, drawing current above its rated load. The BMS reads this as a high-draw event and begins throttling power output to protect the cell. The vacuum feels like it's running out of battery, but the indicator still shows mid-range.
Motor cuts out completely then recovers after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged nozzle, or hair wrap at the brush head — the motor spikes current draw past the BMS threshold. The protection circuit interrupts output, the motor stops, and the BMS resets once the overcurrent condition clears. Check and clean the filter first. If the cutout continues on a clear filter, verify cell voltage is above 22V before ruling out a degraded battery.
