Bosch Indego 350 / 400 Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F016104898)
This is an 18V, 2500mAh (45Wh) Li-ion battery for the Bosch Indego robotic lawn mower range. It fits the Indego 350, Indego 400, Indego S+ 350, and Indego S+ 400, along with eleven additional Indego variants. The voltage rail, cell count, and connector match the OEM specification for these models.

- Seasonal storage tip: Before storing the mower at end of season, run the battery down to around 40–50% charge rather than leaving it full. A fully charged Li-ion pack sitting unused for three to four months accelerates cell degradation faster than a partial state of charge.
BMS cutoff on thick-grass or wet-grass blade load
The Indego's blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting thick or wet grass than it does on a standard dry lawn. If the inrush current exceeds the BMS protection threshold — which can happen on a pack that is cold or partially cycled — the battery cuts out to protect the cells. The mower stops, the dock shows a fault, and reinserting the battery clears it. Keeping the pack at room temperature before a heavy mowing session reduces inrush-related trips, because warm Li-ion cells have lower internal resistance and handle the current spike more cleanly.
Charger refusing to accept the pack after winter storage
If the Indego sat in an unheated garage all winter, the battery may have self-discharged below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 10–12V for an 18V pack. The dock sees the pack as faulty and won't initiate a charge cycle. To recover it, place the battery indoors at room temperature for two to three hours, then retry the dock. If the pack still won't accept a charge after warming, the cells have likely dropped below recovery threshold and the battery needs replacing.
