Why this battery

  • Fits Bosch UNEO multi-tool; replaces OEM part number 100536.
  • 7.4V lithium-ion delivers 2000mAh capacity for consistent torque on cutting, sanding, and scraping tasks across wood, metal, and plastic.
  • Slides into UNEO battery slot with positive contact rail alignment; locking tab seats flush against housing shoulder.
  • Bench testing shows BMS accepts motor inrush current without nuisance cutoff; cell voltage holds steady under sustained load cycling.
  • On first use with UNEO, run the tool at half trigger for two cycles before full-power applications to calibrate motor inrush protection thresholds.

About this replacement

Bosch UNEO — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (100536)

This is a 7.4V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the Bosch UNEO cordless multi-tool. It replaces OEM part number 100536 and fits the UNEO platform used for cutting, sanding, and scraping across wood, metal, and plastic. Capacity is 14.8Wh — matched to the original specification.

  • UNEO platform fitment: The UNEO uses a compact 7.4V two-cell configuration with a specific connector pinout and BMS handshake. This battery matches that voltage rail and communication protocol — the tool's electronics recognise the pack and permit normal operation.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge and discharge on the UNEO platform. The BMS responded correctly to motor-start inrush current without tripping, and cell balancing held within tolerance across three consecutive cycles.
  • Break-in procedure for UNEO: On first use, run the tool at light cutting load for two cycles before tackling hard material or sustained passes. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush draw and set accurate overcurrent thresholds before full load is applied.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the UNEO

The UNEO motor pulls a brief current spike the moment the trigger is pressed — this inrush can reach several times the steady-state draw. A freshly installed battery with an uncalibrated BMS may read that spike as a fault and cut power immediately. The BMS needs two or three light-load cycles to log the motor's inrush signature before it can distinguish a normal start from an actual overcurrent event. After those break-in cycles, nuisance cutoffs on trigger pull typically stop.

Charger not recognising the UNEO pack after storage

Li-ion cells that have sat discharged for several months can drop below the charger's acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 5.0V for this two-cell pack. When the charger sees voltage below that threshold, it refuses to enter bulk-charge mode and may show a fault LED. Some chargers include a recovery or trickle mode — engage it if available, or use a bench power supply to bring each cell above 2.8V before placing the pack back on the standard charger. Once voltage crosses the acceptance window, the charger will detect the pack normally and begin a full charge cycle.
